The death of a woman during pregnancy, at delivery, or soon after delivery is a tragedy for her family and for society as a whole. Sadly, about 700 women die each year in the United States as a result of pregnancy or delivery complications, and multiples of 700 women globally are affected.Your valued support will truly make a difference.Support Cocoa Pods public education podcast in our efforts to prevent pregnancy-related deaths by sharing potentially life-saving messages; or one of our small group classes in education of what women can actually do to prevent a pregnancy-related death with topics such as how to maintain a healthy diet and weight, our food bank offerings to women in need, deep vein thrombosis prevention and lactation support through our Mommy Needs Program, and our labor care with doula support.
