Education for girls & women good till age 99

Cocoa pods podcast was created March 2021 for women and everyone involved in the health of a woman throughout her life cycle on women’s health issues; beyond the doctor’s’ office examination room and beyond the operating room.

During the Covid 19 pandemic there was a lot of despondency  and fear and we hoped that explaining health issues would educate women and bring to light answers to some of the questions they may have in their everyday health care.

The hope is to also involve all stakeholders in women’s healthcare in the discussion as we the hope of positive policy changes .We continue to seek solutions to problems especially in the state of Georgia that is currently #49 of 50 in ranking in material morbidity and mortality and solutions globally.

We believe in natural processes for health, that women’s health should involve the least intervention when possible but when surgical intervention is deemed necessary to do things in a minimally invasive manner. We discuss the light hearted and happy perspectives as well as the difficult and sensitive issues, most importantly where the problems remain unaddressed

In season one of Cocoa Pods Podcast we talked about issues ranging from “a well-woman” visit especially from an obstetric point of view and how it  provides an excellent opportunity to counsel women healthcare seekers or patients about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and minimizing health risks. We have had guests ranging from Dr Nanette Wenger who has done the most research in the United States on women’s cardiac health issues to Dr Bootstaylor university of San Francisco-trained maternal fetal specialist who is prevented from practicing his profession and not because of his lack of skill and mothers ( experts) like Mrs Shamekia Brown talking about issues of motherhood and career.

In season two of Cocoa Pods Podcast we shake things up a bit and transform our conversations with our wide array of podcast guests as we continue the story telling. We want to talk about issues ranging from how women who have sacrificed their bodies endured pain & suffered willingly or unwillingly for science … for our better health to all what it means to have a C-section.We want to talk about how to improve your mental health and live your best life healthily

This new season will be jam-packed with enticing information ready to impact the lives of women and those who care about women, we do hope you tune in each and every Thursday to listen to new episodes of Cocoa Pods podcast!
